SEEK – Special Education for Exceptional Kids, is a nonprofit, 501(c) organization that offers customized and effective educational programs for people with developmental disabilities including autism. The organization provides a learning environment by creating and implementing programs governed by the evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices. The client helps an individual at every step with one’s changing needs and develops unique learning programs by working closely with communities and parents. It offers treatment for all developmental stages – right from early intervention until supported employment.
SEEK needed an enterprise-wide central collaborative platform for all departments in the form of a single site that can be used for its employees and also serve as a public-facing platform. The client was already using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 on-premise for its already running projects and wanted to leverage the same platform with its additional features for developing a content management system.
The WaferWire team implemented a customized solution for delivering
The solution implemented a public-facing platform along with an intranet site that encompassed accounting, HR, operations, service provider, vocational services and calendar modules. Additionally, the team also implemented a time off request workflow that also helped the client to manage pending leaves. The homepage and web parts were fully customized to fulfill specific client requirements.
The WaferWire Team successfully conquered the challenges it came across and offered a quality solution with its tool expertise and experience to achieve successful project delivery and client satisfaction. One of the instances for this is the complex custom validations required by the business for building the forms that couldn’t have been achieved using just the Out-of-the-box SharePoint feature. The team used SharePoint Designer Tool to customize this filter functionality to offer the expected solution. Secondly, the business requirement for an editable Appoint form PDF was offered using Nitro - a third-party tool that was new to the team.
Moreover, the flawless design and development of the public-facing site gave it a look and feel of the native site with no resemblance to a site developed in SharePoint.
